Gilbert has contributed to All Seasons' member newsletter
"Bird's Eye View" for nearly a decade. A
favorite of our readers, his information tracks the arrival and departure of birds, blooming dates of plants, and other interesting notes of local flora and fauna. Use these notes to help you plan ahead for nestbox cleaning, when to prepare
your hummingbird feeders, etc.

at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota,
Jim is also the author of Jim Gilbert's Nature Notebook,
and Through Minnesota's Seasons with Jim Gilbert.
Jim and his network of observers across Minnesota and western
Wisconsin keep track of Phenology events. Jim has been
associated with the Freshwater Society and has provided
the phenology information for the Minnesota Weatherguide
Environment Calendar since 1977.
