Offering fresh nectar is a must to keeping your orioles and hummingbirds coming to your feeders. Orioles need a different concentration of sugar than hummingbirds do, that's why there are two different nectars available.
ORIOLE TIP: To keep them coming all summer long, offer mealworms in late May, June and early July when they're raising their young. They switch to a more insect-based diet at this time of year to boost their intake of protein. Don't have access to them or don't want to handle live mealworms? We carry freeze-dried ones that the birds love.
This 8oz. packet makes 48 oz. of nectar, enough for one filling of the Fliteline Oriole Feeder. Or, if you don't want to fill your feeder all the way, refrigerate the leftover nectar for up to a week.
Minimum order is two boxes. |
