The feeder holds 6 lbs. of seed and can be suspended using the metal bail loop that comes with the feeder. Alternatively, the threaded base allows you to mount the B72 direcly to a pole or affix a Droll Yankees' Omni Seed Tray to the base to catch spilled seed and provide another feeding area for birds.
