Did you know woodpeckers use their tails for leverage? That's why many times you'll see them continually moving around on a small suet cage. And, it may be part of the reason the larger hairy, red-bellied and pileated woodpeckers don't frequent your feeders.
This cedar suet hanger has a large "tail-prop" area at the base to help the larger woodpeckers gain leverage and balance while enjoying your suet.
This model holds a single suet cake, but we also carry one that holds two suet cakes and is a bit larger; specifically designed for pileateds!
Feeder measures 12.5"H x 3"D x 9"W. |
