Wow, this is such a huge improvement over other digital outdoor cameras. The photos are crisp and clear, it runs off of 4 D batteries so there's no power cords to mess with, and it even records 10-second videos! It uses a photocell to turn on, so you're not draining the batteries all night. (we've found that under daily use, the batteries last around 30 days).
Images are stored on a standard SD card (we'll even throw in a 1GB card for you). Just pop the card out of the camera, plug it into your computer's SD reader (or take it to anywhere photos are developed and they can read the card), and enjoy your photos! The camera comes with a USB and a TV cable Images are 3.0 mega pixels, so the quality is good enough to even print and share the photos with your friends.
You can mount the camera using the accompanying stretch cords (if you want to wrap it around a tree or a deck post for example - see image below) or you can purchase the mounting arm to actually attach it to your feeder pole. (mounting arm shown below, just click on the photo for a larger image) It also will attach to any standard tripod.
The chickadees on suet photo is an actual photo taken with the camera (show below, just click on the image). Pretty amazing! Makes a wonderful family gift - what a great way to enjoy your birds even when you're all at work, school, etc.
