Sibley, a reknowned artist, provides all 6,600 watercolor illustrations in the book, making it a wonder for the eyes. Birds are shown in various states of plummage, from regional colorations to first-year and adult markings. Detailed maps indicate breeding, winter and migratory grounds.
It's a large paperback, but sturdily bound, so you may take it into the field or leave it at home for follow-up reference.
